ABOUT ANDRY

    Born in a small village, it seemed there was no future for a boy from a poor family like me. Genetics had made me the smallest in my class and the constant teasing from my classmates had a significant impact on my decision to take up boxing at the age of 14. I showed very promising results, but due to the financial constraints of my sports club, it was not feasible to participate in competitions. Hence, I decided to leave boxing and engage in gym training during winter. However, it didn’t resonate with me – I felt it wasn’t my path. Then, the spring of 2012 arrived, a pivotal moment in my life. One of my friends suggested we visit a sports park, as the trend of calisthenics and street workout was rapidly growing at that time. That day forever changed my life! After a period of training, I began winning various regional competitions. I become a finalist at show “Ukraine’s Got Talent” and even received an invitation to work in a French circus – an opportunity that seemed unreal to me. I once only dreamt of such accomplishments, and now they were my reality. Thanks to calisthenics, I was able to uncover my potential and demonstrate to the world what the human body is capable of.

You can start learning the planche once you are able to perform at least 15+ pull-ups and 40+ push-ups. Without this basic strength, you may struggle to perform the exercises with proper form, which could hinder your progress

I have created a “Fundamental Strength” Plan which consists of 3 levels. This plan is ideal for individuals who are unable to perform their first pull-up or push-up, or for athletes who wish to increase their strength and body control

The duration it takes to learn the planche varies based on individual strength and consistency. Assuming you have the requisite strength:

 • Straddle planche: 3-9 months

 • Full planche: 6-24 months
